My inner compass has a view of the ocean 🌊

Sometimes I wonder why I love the ocean so much.

Is it the sound of the waves?
The vastness?
The salty air?

Maybe.

But I think it's something else.

By the sea, my inner compass suddenly grows very quiet.

Or maybe that's not true at all.

It doesn't get any quieter.

I just hear him more clearly again.

Suddenly, decisions feel clearer.

Not because I have answers to all the questions.

But because I'm starting to feel again what's truly important to me.

I realize that I don't really need that much.

Time.

Distance.

People around whom I can just be myself.

And the courage to trust my instincts.

For many years, I believed that a compass had to show me where I would end up.

Today, I believe something different.

A compass never points to the destination.

He only ever points the way for the next step.

Sometimes that's all it takes.

Right now, I'm sitting by the ocean with a cup of coffee.

I look out at the water and think:

Actually, we have time.

Suddenly, I realize just how true that statement is.

Because when I listen to my inner compass, it’s rarely about the big life decisions.

It's all about the little moments.

About taking a moment to pause.

About lightness.

So that I can trust that I'll know what the next step is when the time comes.

Maybe that's exactly what clarity is.

Not knowing everything.

But to hear themselves again.

Maybe sometimes you don't need a new direction at all.

But simply a moment of silence,

so that we can hear our inner compass again.

When was the last time you listened to your inner compass? 🧭
