Change rarely starts with a bang
“The purest form of madness is to keep doing the same things over and over again while hoping for a different result.”
A sentence I came across recently.
And yeah… there's just something about him.
Not because change always has to be loud, radical, or spectacular.
But because we humans do something exciting:
We often wish…
✨ more lightness
✨ greater fulfillment
✨ more vitality
✨ more clarity
✨ More closeness… or more freedom
…and yet we keep falling back on the same thoughts, the same patterns, and the same decisions.
Not out of stupidity.
Not out of weakness.
But because the familiar provides a sense of security.
Even when it no longer really nourishes us.
But change rarely starts with a bang.
It often starts out much more quietly.
With a moment of honesty.
With an uncomfortable realization.
With a small new decision.
Maybe even with a simple:
“What if I allowed myself to do things a little differently?”
Not perfect.
Not radical.
Simply… one step closer to you.
Because sometimes change doesn't come from becoming someone else.
But rather by starting to be a little more true to ourselves.
What about you?
Where do you want to see change… yet at the same time, are you perhaps still clinging to the familiar?
